Xpreso solves the last mile problem in eCommerce by delivering to people, not places. Xpreso’s SaaS solution allows delivery companies to increase first-time delivery success rate by offering online shoppers dynamic tracking and accurate arrival times. This is complemented by re-direction options to fit parcel delivery around consumers’ busy lives. The solution also facilitates cash-on-delivery, VAT and customs payments at point of delivery. The Xpreso communication platform uses an intuitive Android tablet interface for the parcel delivery driver, a smartphone interface for the shopper and a web-based realtime tracking interface for the delivery company and e-retailer.
Driver’s route is optimised through GPS navigation, live traffic data and location memorisation.
Delivery companies gain key insights in order to optimise operations.
Communicate directly with your delivery driver via app and sms.
Get an initial 1 hour window and a notification 5 minutes before the driver arrives at the door.
Redirect your delivery to a neighbour or to another location or reschedule for a different day.
See your driver’s current location on a map.
Xpreso was launched in 2013 to bridge the gap between the customer, the delivery company and the online retailer. Xpreso believes that the delivery of the product is as important as the product itself and the company’s mission is to ensure that customers get a brilliant delivery experience. The co-founders Eamon, Simon, Paulo and Fabiano saw the lack of solutions meeting customer needs in this area and built the Xpreso platform from the ground up.
Simon has 30 years’ experience in the courier industry. As CEO of Cyclone couriers he acquired six other companies and started five new divisions.
Paulo is a graduate of electronic engineering at UCD, where he was awarded the Engineering Graduates’ Association gold medal. Before co-founding Xpreso, he was as an IT project leader and research assistant at UCD’s Electricity Research Centre.
Eamon was named ‘Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur” in December 2014, in a competition that attracted over 1,100 entries. He has received two awards from IBM and dropped out of his engineering PhD to co-found Xpreso. He previously worked for three years as an analyst for the CEO and CFO of Frontier Rare Earths which raised €70m during his time there.
Fabiano has a master’s in computer science and bootstrapped a solar energy company in Italy to ten employees and €1m turnover before pursuing a PhD in demand response algorithms in Ireland.
